Optimum” target=”_self, a midsize cable” target=”_self and fiber” target=”_self internet provider, announced plans this morning to double its multigigabit” target=”_self footprint by 2028. The expansion includes a 2,000-megabits-per-second tier for its cable internet users.
“Optimum is committed to empowering residents and businesses with the fast, reliable internet services they need to thrive in a digital-first world,” said Nate Edwards, executive vice president of Network Services at Optimum, in a statement.
Optimum currently is available to over 4 million residential and business users across 21 states, three million of which have access to Optimum’s 100% fiber-optic internet network.
Where is Optimum’s multigig service currently available?
Currently, 30% of Optimum’s network features multigigabit speeds. Optimum plans to increase that availability to 65% in the next three years.
